How much does sponsorship cost?

We ask that as a donor you commit to a minimum of one years sponsorship to allow for continuity, sustainability and effectiveness. The annual cost of sponsorship will vary depending on which option you choose in terms of sponsorship.

Our field staff have identified three categories of children within the orphanages we support that would benefit from your sponsorship:

Vulnerable day children

These are vulnerable children between the ages of 3-6 years that come to the children’s centre/orphanage during the day for preschooling and food.

They have been identified by a social worker as being particularly vulnerable. This means that their care providers cannot be at home during the day to look after them, they are not in a condition themselves to take good care of their children, or they do not have enough money to send their children to a pre-school facility whilst they are out earning a living.

For US$ 48 or £32 a month you could give a vulnerable child in Kenya a chance for a brighter future.

Orphaned and Neglected Children:These are children who live at the children’s centre full-time. The younger ones attend the pre-school program at the centre, and the older children are sent to local schools. In this way they remain integrated in their community.

Each child has a story of its own. Most have been affected by neglect, abuse, and HIV/AIDS. Some have lost their parents, whereas others are mistreated to the extent that they have had to be removed from their family environment. Now they rely solely on the orphanage.

For just US $63 or £42 a month you will play an integral part in the welfare, development and education of an orphaned and neglected child.

Orphaned and abandoned babiesEvery day babies are abandoned in hospitals, at police stations, on the streets, and in rubbish bins. Of these babies abandoned sixty percent are HIV positive; this is becoming a common reason for abandonment.

These babies live in the nursery at the children’s centre. There they receive the care that they need for them to develop normally and healthily. These babies have no known parents or relatives and rely solely on the orphanage.

For just US$68 or £45 you will contribute to giving an abandoned baby the love, care and the chance to be a normal and happy child.
