Can I send presents?

We recommend that gifts are no bigger than an A5 size envelope due to the expense and customs regulations. Some packages do arrive safely, but we highly recommend you do not send money or anything valuable. The school or child will have to collect the packages themselves as The Happy Africa Foundation can take no responsibility in obtaining or delivering personal packages.

As a guideline, we ask that sponsors keep these contributions between £5/$8 and £10/$15 for each child and limit their gift giving to twice a year.

We will not forward photographs and other materials depicting activities that:
• Might be considered inappropriate in another culture.
• Promote lifestyle choices that we view as unhealthy and inconsistent or otherwise inappropriate for sponsored children.
• Might threaten the safety of the sponsored children in any way.
