Are my contributions tax deductable?

Donations by US Citizens are only tax deductible if they are made through Charities Aid Foundation America (CAF) in the form of Gift Aid. CAF America provides The Happy Africa Foundation’s donors with the option to give tax efficiently. At this stage we are not able to offer a 501 (c) 3 option for donors to give to but we are trying to make the appropriate arrangements for the future as registration takes a significant amount of time for a UK Registered Charity.

We have arranged with Charities Aid Foundation UK (CAF UK) to offer the option of Gift Aid for UK tax payers which essentially enables the foundation and such the communities we work with to get a rebate on tax payer’s donations. If you are an eligible tax payer in the UK, for every GBP1 you give, we get an extra 28p from the Inland Revenue, helping your donation go further at no extra cost to your self.
