Interact - Half and full-day Volunteering in Africa

African Impact: INTERACT offers you the opportunity to gain a unique insight into local African communities, and to make a positive, lasting impact on people’s lives through our volunteer programmes. By helping build a classroom, paint an orphanage, refurbish a community center, or simply play games with local children, you can make a real difference in just one afternoon! 

Whether you are on holiday with family and friends, a corporate incentive travel itinerary or backpacking experience we invite you to be more than a tourist… Join in a full or half day volunteering adventure in a number of Southern and East African destinations.

African Impact: INTERACT operates through the support of The Happy Africa Foundation, which ensures accountability of all funds received

  • 50% of all project fees goes directly back into our projects
  • We use ethically responsible methods of social research and development
  • INTERACT is part of African Impact, Africa’s largest facilitator of volunteer projects

The Impact We’ve made so far through INTERACT

Zambia, Livingstone

  • Built classroom blocks in two rural community schools
  • Refurbished eight rural community schools

South Africa, St Lucia

 

  • Building a children’s day centre and orphanage

Mozambique, Vilanculos 

 

  • Refurbished a rural community school that accommodates over a hundred children
  • Refurbished a local orphanage which is home to 20 children

Kenya, Nairobi       

 

  • Set up an immunization programme for up to seventy children per week
  • Refurbished six classrooms

In addition, we offer support to more than 300 HIV positive women through community farms in Zambia, Mozambique, Kenya and South Africa.

We aim to make an impact on as many African communities as possible, and will open up new projects in the near future.
