Zambia- THAF encourages sustainable giving through DAPP ZAMBIA

The Happy Africa Foundation will be making donations to DAPP ZAMBIA to support projects throughout Zambia.

Every month volunteers kindly leave us their unwanted clothes. We have decided the most sustainable and responsible use for these clothes is for them to be sold in a local DAPP store, which sells off unwanted clothes to support its projects throughout Zambia.

About the clothes and shoe sale project at Dapp

The aim of the project is…

  • To provide high quality clothes and shoes to the public with affordable prices for everyone.
  • To raise funds for the DAPP in Zambia development projects.
  • To create employment

The clothes and shoes are donated by well wishers in Holland, transported to Zambia where it is sold.

The clothes and shoes are sold using a system called four weeks cycle. This system helps to monitor the sales and guides the seller to employ new steps of strategies. The new consignment of clothes and shoes is received in the shops in the last week of each month while the old stock is being cleared to pave way for the new cycle, which starts in the first week of the following month.

In the first week of the cycle, all the shops maintain the prices with no discounts and then start to give discounts in the second and third week. The clearing is done in the last week of the month with very low prices to cater for the customers who could not afford to buy in the first and second week.

The products are of high quality and correspond to the current fashionable trends.
