Medical bags for home base care in Livingstone communities

We were able to purchase more supplies for the medical bags that are used by the local home based care volunteers, in Maramba, Dambwa, Ngwenya and Mwandi. The bags are now stocked with basic first aid equipment. We will continue to use funding from your donation for this purpose. We are currently in the process of changing the home based care programme that we run. We have introduced a training programme which we will eventually take to all home based care communities, to help improve the care that they give to patients. Ultimately this will place more responsibility on the local carers and provide greater sustainablity over time.
