Maramba Old Peoples’ Home

Tea Party at Maramba Old People’s Home
To help keep them warm during the chilly winter nights, we bought a sweater and a coat for all thirty-five residents at Maramba Old People’s Home (MOPH).

On June 18th 2009, The Happy Africa Foundation and African Impact held a tea party at MOPH. There was enough tea and biscuits to go round for all the residents and the staff. To help keep them warm during the chilly winter nights, we bought a sweater and a coat for all thirty-five residents at Maramba Old People’s Home (MOPH).  The residents loved their new clothes, some putting them on straight away!

But the highlight of the party was Brave’s troupe of drummers and dancers that put on an amazing performance for the old people, staff and the volunteers!

Brave and his troupe performed for about thirty minutes and the residents loved every minute of it. Some of them even got up to dance with Brave and co!

We are looking forward to more events at the Old People’s Home.
