Welcome to The Happy Africa Foundation website.

You may have come across this site because you were a past volunteer, someone close to you volunteered with us, or you may want to contribute to the brilliant work that is being done throughout southern and eastern Africa in the humanitarian and conservation sector.

The Happy Africa Foundation has a number of unique aspects.  Firstly, every penny of our funding goes towards promoting and advancing sustainable community and conservation development on the continent of Africa.  Secondly, we have a passionate, inspired, motivated and driven team of volunteers and staff who are employed locally at each project.  They are in touch with the people in the communities and national parks every day we work in, and actively share the Foundation’s vision for the people of Africa.  Thirdly, we pride ourselves that our objectives; to empower individuals, to help communities become self-sufficient and to adopt a holistic approach to support sustainable projects, help to ensure that our projects are successful and benefit those most in need.

The Happy Africa Foundation is small, but is doing amazing work with the people of Africa.  Those working with us can see the difference we are making to people’s lives every day; it truly is inspiring. Our passion lies in the people, in the land and in the wildlife of this amazing continent.
